At this year’s JEC World event, Instron (hall 5, stand M95) will be featuring the latest 6800 Series universal testing systems, which are designed to conduct an expansive variety of tests on composites and many other materials used in the aerospace, raw materials, biomedical, automotive, and consumer electronics industries.

As a world leader in the materials testing field, Instron offers extensive composites testing knowledge and a comprehensive range of solutions for testing composite materials and components – including systems, fixtures, and software used to determine tensile, compression, shear, torsion, and impact properties.

Instron’s high-performance composites testing fixtures are built to conform with standards such as ASTM, ISO, and EN. The traceability module featured in Instron’s Bluehill Universal software helps users achieve audit compliance with Nadcap and other regulatory accreditations.

The 6800 Series systems are powered by Bluehill Universal, which provides simple workflows that make training and operation easy. Bluehill also features a composites module that includes several composite testing standards, allowing for a simpler test process that’s more consistent across different lab environments.

More than 96% of the world’s largest manufacturing companies on the Fortune 100 list use Instron testing systems. Instron’s global infrastructure includes a broad range of local services, with more than 250 support staff around the world providing installation, training, calibration, and on-site machine upgrades to minimize downtime for lab operators.

Representing the company at JEC World is composites market manager, Ian McEnteggart, who brings more than 40 years of experience working with Instron’s testing fixtures, systems, and software for composites testing. He has authored many articles on composites testing for industry publications and has played an active role in developing international standards for materials testing.
